| October Diesel Weekend |
On Saturday and Sunday October 4th/5th, we'll be running a diesel weekendy special, where we'll operate our available Diesel shunters on the passenger trains.
Operating locomotives have now been confirmed These include the newly reliveried Class 05 - D2595 which is painted in BR Blue, ex BR Class 03 - D2148 and our own trusty Thomas Hill Workhorse, Stanlow No.4
An opportunity to photograph the "Ribble Rail" fleet of Sentinel diesels 10165, 10282 & 10283, along with Barclay 615, as they'll be taken out of their shed & put on display. You'll also be able to catch a glimpse of DR98404 - our Permaquip maintenance unit - the only one of it's type - a TUMM!
Weather Permitting, we'll also be positioning ex NSR 601 (BR Class 11 EE2098) outside to enable improved photographic opportunities.
Static Exhibits on site include Fowler 4160001 "Persil", Hudswell Clarke "brothers" D628 & D629, and Yorkshire Engine 2677
