Volunteer Recruitment Appeal

On the weekend of the 4th & 5th of January 2002, we will be hosting an open day at the railway.  Guided tours will be available thoughout the day at 30 minute intervals between 11:00 and 16:00.  The site is still very uneven, and is likely to be muddy, and so good footwear, and working clothes are recommended.  The tours will take in the workshop building and carriage shed.  Limited access to the new museum building will also be provided.  If you're interested in making a new years resolution to help a local charity, and are interested in trains / engineering or building and want to lend an urgently needed hand, come along.

Please note that this is not a family day out - Unfortunately, young children will not be admitted to site.

Refreshments will be available from a heated buffet car.  Agecroft no.2 should be in steam to provide the heat, but no rides will be given.
