Santa Special Season busy

The final weekend of 2007 trains at Ribble Steam Railway is upon us, and the season has again been busy.  There's still seats available on Friday 21st, however the weekend days a very busy with limited availability on all trains, with the final trains on Sunday being especially popular.  There's only time for a weekend's rest before the Winter Steamings in conjunction with Preston Model Railway Exhibition.

Railtour to visit RSR in January

The "Preston Docker" railtour of Hertfordshire Railtours is due to visit the railway on Saturday 19th January.  The train is ex-London Euston with some interesting diesel traction currently scheduled.  During the railtour visit (12 coaches), the railway site will be closed, so please do not travel to the Chain Caul Road buildings to gain access to photograph the train, there will of course be many photographic opportunities along the line - approximate times of the train's arrival & departure will be posted in due course.
