Railway Channel Filming |
22/3/06 |
Ribble Steam Railway hosted The Railway Channel for a day of filming on Wednesday 22nd March. Despite a cold start, the crew managed to capture all aspects of the railways operation - including the EWS activities bringing the bitumen tankers onto the railway and taking away the empties, and then moving onto Ribble Rail's activities in moving the tanks into the TotalFina unloading facility.
After breakfast, filming of the passenger service was carried out, with Agecroft No.2 providing the motive power - performed a number of staged runpasts. Presenter Mark Froud then interviewed a number of the volunteer staff to get a full background of the railway's rapid development and it's ongoing projects.
The programme is due to be "aired" after the channel launches in April - Check out their website for further details.
