|
Here you will find information from our latest news and events to the railway's history - a stock list detailing our exhibits, along with details of how to join the railway as a member. Click on a link to find out more Ribble Steam Railway is a family day out in the heart of Lancashire. The railway opened to the public in September 2005. A visit to the site will not only give you the opportunity to travel along our 1½ mile dock and riverside line, but also access our newly built museum and workshop. The line itself crosses the Preston Marina entrance via a swing bridge, and runs alongside the diverted River Ribble on the site of the former sprawling docklands. The substantial workshop facilities were constructed in 2001 to provide a modern facility in which we are able to restore the many and varied exhibits in the railway's collection. |
