The exhibits are moved around on a regular basis - so apologies if the above list isn't in place when you arrive. Other exhibits within our collection may be housed in the workshop (normally open for viewing on operating days). Some are in restricted areas - if you're keen on viewing a particular exhibit, please contact us in advance of your visit to arrange access.
The collection policy for our railway is centred around restoring, displaying and operating items from our industrial past. Many of our locomotives are local to the North of England and Scotland, whether they were built here, or spent some or all of their working lives on the many industrial locations in Lancashire, Yorkshire & the surrounding areas. If you have any queries, use our contacts link to send in your request for information.
On Most weekends, a museum guide is available to answer your questions about our exhibits
